The Cocoon Is Part of the Journey
In every stage of life, we are invited to grow, but that growth does not erase what came before. The butterfly may be a symbol of change, yet it is the cocoon that holds the deepest mystery. It is a space of surrender, of unmaking, of becoming. We often forget that the transformation begins not in flight, but in stillness.
You are not separate from the parts of you that struggled. They, too, belong. And yet, you are allowed to choose. You can let the old shell fall away while keeping what is beautiful, wise, and newly formed. From a monist perspective, no stage of your journey is wasted. All of it is you. All of it is part of the whole.
