Games of monopoly aren't fun if somebody is too far ahead, same as life, winning is a meaningless goal.

The oneness underneath every game is easy to miss when we are busy keeping score, but consciousness was never built to win at life. A board with a runaway leader stops being play; the fun lives in the back-and-forth, the closeness, the shared motion of pieces on the same board. We forget that the board, the tokens, and the players are cut from one cloth — the same substance moving against itself for the sake of the moving. To win would mean the game ends, the board clears, the aliveness drains out. Maybe the point was never the finish but the playing. What would change if we treated the goal as the play itself?
